Love this tool! Easy enough for my 6 year old to use.

Mechanically Functional, Practically Less So
There are tons of these listed that are all pretty much the same product. If you really want to try this, then choose your own adventure with what you get and for how much. The fact that you can get them in a 2 pack for the same price as a single is probably a good indicator of how this went.Pro: it does function, its does exactly what its advertised to do. One switch twists the individual strands, the other switch twists the entire head to make the braid.Cons: It doesn’t do a great job of holding on to your hair. I found that 1/3 of the time it would let go in the second phase of twisting, which means you have to stop everything and start over. Ultimately, it was slower to use than just twisting my hair myself.

Not Perfect But For The Price It’s A Nice Short Cut
This hair twister is pretty simple. It takes 2 AA batteries that are not included. You just take two sections of hair (needs to be somewhat small sections, nothing too bulky) put them under the clips and push the button up to twist each section individually, then push the button down and it twists the two sections together making a nice double twisted strand. The button automatically returns to the off position when you let go of it so it will only run as long as you hold it in the on position which is a nice safety. The clips push up from a bottom button to open so that hair can be easily inserted and then go back down when button is released to hold the hair. My clips hang so I have to manually make sure that they go back down. Not a big deal but it is a flaw. The clips don’t hold overly firmly so when my hair was twisting, before it could over twist, it started twisting under the clips. That, I believe, is a safety and not a flaw. By the time it starts to twist under the clips it was twisted somewhat loosely but tight enough. It did take a little bit of practice to get used to it but after a few tries it made quick work of making nice twists of hair that looked very cute. My hair is very fine, and I have no problems using. I’m not sure how it would do with really thick hair. Certainly, it would do fine with small portions, but it won’t do anything like the pictures shows. It would be great for someone that has young girls. It would make very cute hair styles for them in much less time than it would look like you spent. This auto twisting hair styler isn’t perfect by any means, but it is a wonderful tool. If the price were higher, I would not be as generous with my rating, but I’ve paid much more for hair accessories that didn’t do anything other than look nice. I figure that if I use it just a few times that it’s well worth the money. It would have been nice if it had come with instructions to show how to achieve different hair styles, especially the ones shown on the box, but it’s pretty much a trial-and-error thing. With and imagination there’s no limit to the creations that could be achieved. If you expect perfect then you will be disappointed but, again, for the price it’s a nice addition to my styling tools.
