Customers say

Customers find the spray adhesive works well for embroidery projects and quilting, with a superior controlled spray that doesn’t gum up needles. Moreover, the product holds items together effectively, and one customer specifically mentions its success with minky fabric. However, the adhesive quality receives mixed feedback – while some say it sticks to many surfaces, others report that the stickiness disappears quickly. Additionally, opinions on value are divided, with some finding it worth the price while others consider it too expensive for the amount.

Sulky Temporary Adhesive Spray for Embroidery
I have used this product for years. It works great for me. It never gums up my needles and holds the material securely. Even though it is a small can, the spray is controlled and does not have a lot of waste with over spraying the area. I can’t find it in an of the sewing stores around me, so I am thankful Amazon carries it.

Fine mist, safe for delicate fabrics
I use this to baste small pieces for machine applique and it works perfectly.I prefer it to other brands when dealing with more delicate or small pieces of fabric as it comes out in a very fine mist that leaves no trace of it on the front of the fabric. It is a bit pricey for such a small can, but it’s worth it for my uses.

    Excellent product!
This is a good product for spray basting quilt tops – pieced, appliquéd, or wholecloth – for hand or machine quilting. I have tried most of the popular brands but keep coming back to this one for good adhesion with not a lot of product – a thin layer is all that is needed, and no lingering odor. It seems higher priced than others, but it is very concentrated and has a lower pressure spray so it doesn’t blast all over (garage, plants, or deck). As with most brands, it helps to spray the fabric and not the batting. I was not aware, until recently, that there is not an urgent need to immediately layer the sandwich – one could spray outside (advised with all sprays) and then bring the top indoors to assemble the layers. Do take note, though, that Sulky KK 2000 was designed to disappear over a short time (a couple of days or so), so this is not a brand to spray and leave your quilt for quilting “sometime” or you might have to spray again. I, personally, like this quality as it provides motivation to get the quilting done. Only one caveat: although it is labeled “Safe,” I still recommend wearing a mask, use eye protection and spray in a well-ventilated space (outdoors is best).

When they say “TEMPORARY”, they mean it.
I’ve been using this spray to attach patches just prior to machine stitching them in place, or to keep layers of fabric from sliding too much when I’m going to sew them together. For the most part, it’s worked fairly well. Spray is very well directed, so it doesn’t go all over the place. The tackiness is good and generally holds things together until attached in a more permanent way. But when they say “temporary” hold, they mean it. If you don’t get to finishing your project for a while, the stick factor will lessen significantly. After learning that lesson, I only use it a few minutes before taking it over to my sewing machine. A good point that I DO LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, is the fact that IT DOESN’T GUM UP YOUR SEWING MACHINE. That’s probably one of the most crucial things about this product, and the reason I bought it. It may be a little pricey, but if you’re using a sewing machine, and you’re only looking for a temporary adhesive, this is the product for you.

Excellent product, been using it for years…
I have no dislikes about this product it works well for what it is used for.. The bad thing is that I can’t find it in the stores anymore. Joanns used to carry it. I’m so glad to have found it online and when this can is empty, I know where to order new from.

    Works very well
So much better than what is available at my local embroidery/sewing store. Works well, doesn’t gum my needles up, and sprays evenly. I buy at least 3 every time I buy it!

I use this to temporarily fuse batting to fabric. More expensive than other adhesives on the market, but is non toxic and therefore worth it.
