I absolutely love the Nexxus Ultra Lightweight Hair Oil. It gives my hair the perfect amount of shine and softness without making it feel greasy or heavy. While one would think it would effect greasy or oily looking and feeling hair based on the ingredients, it does not. It seems to be quite lightweight and I think the best way to describe the effect that it has is to say that it provides a “slip” to my curls that make them bouncier and shinier and seems to protect against frizz.What I especially love about this product is that, unlike so many of the other products on the market (like ALL of them!) I’ve found to be just rather greasy, if not done right slimy, and they attract dirt/dust. While they might make one’s hair look nicer for the first few minutes, after just a little while it seems that shiny frizz is produced that attracts dust or dirt. That doesn’t happen with this product. YAY!My favorite way to use it is to put three squirts into my dollop of hair conditioner after shampooing. I use Clairol Herbal Essences Rose Hip Conditioner after shampooing with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. YES… I have found that with my naturally curly and extraordinarily fine hair that Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is the ONLY shampoo that does not cause dryness and other strange things to happen to my hair. Ignore the nonsense about sulfates. They are a NECESSARY agent to lift the oil and sebum and dirt from one’s hair especially if it is super baby fine like mine. Because of the fact that oil does not get distributed well through curly hair it does need a little bit of help and that’s where this amazing Nexxus product comes in. After rinsing my conditioner and Nexxus oil combination out, I use Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream on my towel dried hair all by itself. For the top of my hair, which I will either loosen the curl with with a curling brush or a blow dryer, when my hair is almost dry, I mix one squirt of this in with another squirt of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls to protect it from the heat when I am finishing it. It is almost unbelievable how well the two Nexxus products work together.It is an extremely pleasant and welcome bonus that this product smells so amazing too! It is not so overpowering that it will clash with your favorite perfume. It leaves a pleasant, very light scent throughout your hair. I LOVE the smell of the Nexxus Cashmere Curls Gel Cream too but it very rapidly dissipates. When I mix a little bit of this in with that the scent is just very pleasant and seems to last.I keep one bottle in the shower so that I have it handy by my hair conditioner and one bottle with my styling tools.OH! I almost forgot to mention…purely by accident did I discover that it is also wonderful for your cuticles. When I got my first bottle I was so enamored with the scent that I didn’t rinse it off of my hands when I first used it and I found myself massaging my cuticles. It softens them and makes them much less noticeable between manicures but doesn’t make my hands or fingertips feel oily or greasy.

Great product awful rose scent
I’ve used a lot of hair oils but this one really makes my hair silky. I was shocked. Isnt greasy. Doesn’t weigh it down. I will say I hate the smell. The smell is roses. Usually that smell gives me a terrible headache this stuff however does not, thankfully. Also the smell only lasts about a min in my hair then disappears which is great since rose is awful. I would definitely but this again just wish the smell was different.

I have a hard time finding serums I like because even though my hair is thick, the strands are very fine (if that makes sense), so lots of serums feel way too heavy or sticky to me and make my hair look oily and weighed down. I fell in love with a product I found in target (HB), but I can’t find it there anymore and online here it was expensive. Bought this when it came up as recommended and after reading the great reviews. It goes on just as nice as the HB brand I used to get (although I wish it smelled the same as HB. I loved their scent, my daughter said HB reminded her of waffle cones, I say it was more coconut). This product is not heavy, not sticky and doesn’t look oily on my hair. Very light, smooths and shines my hair perfectly. Of course if you use too much it will look oily and heavy, so just a pump or two depending on hair length is enough. Very light and clean scent. Private lot half the price of the brand I used to buy. I’ll definitely buy this again

I like it!
I was a little concerned about the fragrance. It seemed kind of strong when I put some on the back of my hand to test it out but in my hair it smells really nice and it does a good job of smoothing my hair. I used it as a heat protectant when blow drying. Smells nice and feels nice. Not greasy or oily afterwards at all!

Doesn’t work that well
I got this product to help with dry and frizzy ends mostly for every day use. It works well in the short term, it leaves hair soft and shiny without being sticky or greasy. However, that doesn’t last long and you need to continue to reapply which then causes build up and can leave your hair looking too greasy. I have found it useful for when I style my hair in updos or ponytails, it gives me a nice sleek finish. It smells great and it is a good value for the money, it lasts forever. All in all not a bad buy but don’t expect it to work wonders.

Oh My Gosh, this is just wonderful. My hair (dry and lusterless) looks absolutely wonderful. Such a nice shine and not greasy. Does NOT promote you to wash the next day as other products have. The fragrance is so slight, and you just get a hint of it when you rub it on your hands before applying it. Lovely roses scent. Best Buy Ever.
