Really works !
I have 4a hair and have been wearing it naturalWith no relaxer for about 6 years. I have tried an abundance of products to include regular gel even without alcohol it still dries out my hair and only holds the curl Pattern for a day if even.This Mielle product is what I have been searching for ! I wish it was a bigger jar! The curl definition goes even over night !

Good stretch
I got this and the leave-in as my first ever Mielle products. I love the scent of this, but am glad that it dries down to me very mild.The thing is that it seems Mielle products are meant to be used in conjunction with each other. That’s fine with the leave-in because I can use other brand products with it. With this custard, I will have to see if it plays well with other leave-ins. I want to be able to use it when I might not have the Mielle leave-in.PROS:+ This did help a lot with the shrinkage of freshly washed hair. It elongated the hair and that held up well as my hair dried.+ The smell is REALLY nice. It’s also good that the scent doesn’t overwhelm or interfere with my perfumes.+ The texture helped with applying the custard from root to tip without tugging at my fragile hair.+ I did not have to use as much to refresh my hair (and elongate the curls); I just spray-dampened my hair with a mist of water and lightly applied the custard where needed.CONS:- I noticed that I had to use quite a bit on freshly washed hair.- After this dried, I was finger-styling my hair & noticed a lot of “snow-flaking” on my dark blouse. I could also feel it on my skin. It’s not horrible, but…I like this a quite a lot. While I am undecided about buying more of the leave-in (because I have others), I will most definitely be getting more of this when needed.

Works amazing on curly hair/coily type 3c and 4a, or even other hair types, smells nice, makes your curls last at least a week, but when it dries it leaves flakes or like a certain type of little bubbles of gel, and that gets everywhere, clothes, face….

love this product. I am a blonde and the product is clear so it doesn’t make my hair darker when I use it also you cannot tell it’s even in your hair when you use it. leaves the control for my curls but not the heaviness of gel or mousse. smells great works great

Great product to use for smoothing hair!
Very good product for laying hair down especially the short new growth! I use mielle to lay my natural hair down so that it is smooth. This product works very well with no build up. What helps even better is after applying….tie a light weight scarf around hair and blow dry for about 5-10 minutes…depending on how thick your hair is. Afterwards, remove scarf and hair will be very smooth and maybe wavy!

Stock it up! Great product for dry, frizzy hair
I used this product straight out of the shower on wet hair. It gives great hydration and locks in well. I used this along with the Argan Oil mousse and nothing else and my hair has never been like this! It is not frizzy, my curls are still defined. I had the window down and hair blowing and my hair is still not frizzy. Great purchase!

Follow instructions!
This defined my 4c coils and curls after I cut all my locs off, but it doesn’t last long on my short TWA unfortunately. I will say though it is VERY IMPORTANT to follow the instructions and use the products that they recommend with this one. If you don’t follow instructions, you will get the flaking issue. If you follow the instructions it’s not that bad. It kinda sucks that I have to buy 3 products instead of using just the one, but once you get the hang of it, it does work for a bit.

My item was a bit damaged but I managed to save a bit of the custard and it seems to work OK. I will go and buy another one from my local hair shop. My hair is natural and the custard has defined my natural curls. It’s good stuff. I used it with the mielle mint almond oil and there’s no flaking. It’s a bit costly but it works so I don’t mind.
