I have been using Mario Badescu products for years. I remember relying on their special “pink pimple treatment” when I got hormonal blemishes and that worked like a charm. This sleeping mask is in a one ounce jar, not two as advertised. It is a lilac gel cream that is medium consistency and isn’t heavy. It has very little scent and what scent is does have is a subtle earthy one. It melts onto my very dry skin and immediately soothes and hydrates it. It does leave my skin a bit greasy feeling for a bit then absorbs and leaves it soft.When I wake up, my skin is soft and nourished. I prefer a richer cream at night but this one is really good too. It doesn’t have to be super thick to hydrate and give my skin a dewy glow. It would be a 5 star product for me but, if I apply it too close to my eyes, it finds its way into them and I wake up with blurry vision and stinging so I need to use a different eye cream around my eye area. I think that area could benefit from this cream but I don’t want to risk my eyes. In all, this is a long time favorite that will leave even the driest skin plumped and hydrated.

It is a multi-ingredient mask, and not a straight-up moisturizer.
I apply vitamin C oil first, then the hydrating mask, and I feel my skin is getting everything it needs for the overnight part of my regimen

It feels amazing and unlike most masks, you don’t wash this one off until morning. I have super dry and sensitive skin and this pretty purple gel turns into a cream once applied. Great purple overnight mask, but small jar
The product page describes this as a two-ounce jar, but I received a single one-ounce jar.I really enjoy using this overnight mask. I rotate this with a retinol overnight treatment to give my skin the best of both throughout the week. When I use this cream, my skin always looks visibly more plump in the morning, which is fantastic. This is a purple-toned cream that feeling cooling when applied. It absorbs quickly and is very hydrating. And while it is an overnight mask, it does leave my skin feeling slightly oily, so I would not attempt to use this as a base under makeup. But as an overnight cream, it’s excellent.

Good Stuff
This is a good product – one I’ve used for a couple of years. It’s also reasonably priced, especially compared to many high-end skin care lines. Like many of the reviewers posted, the foil seal on my jar arrived halfway open, and the jar is about 1/4 empty. This wasn’t the first time I received a lotion or beauty product from Amazon with an open or broken seal. Amazon’s quality control is lacking, to say the least. Be leery of ordering from Amazon. Mario Badescu products are easily purchased in stores and online.
