L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner, Black (Packaging May Vary)

Love It – but Definitely Smudge-able!
Let me preface my review by saying that I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to makeup.I know how to apply eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, and concealer – but that’s the extent of it, and it’s certainly not a daily occurrence.That being said, I’ve been wanting to branch out more and try to “up” my makeup game.After reading someone’s blog post that included a link to this eyeliner, and her rave reviews of said product, I decided to buy it – as eye makeup is the one thing I can *really* get down with.It was crazy easy to apply, super dark and heavy looking (FYI for those who want something a little more understated), and I loved it from the get go.My first time wearing it was to a Thanksgiving family gathering and I found myself running to the bathroom constantly. That’s because, before leaving my house, I noticed that every second a smear/circle/smudge would appear at the “crease” of my eyes.I’d rub it off easily enough and then…blink, blink, blink…it’d be back.Now – this may be because I used too much, or because I didn’t know anything about “setting spray/powder” that’s supposed to keep your eye makeup from doing this.But I definitely developed a complex that evening – hence running to the bathroom mirror often to rub the smeared semi-circle that I had known was back.I’ve since bought this “setting powder” stuff all those makeup pages talk about, and have learned a few extra tricks on how NOT to have it smear like that, so I’m still very happy with the purchase.However, I know I’m not the only one in the world who doesn’t know every little thing one could possibly know about the makeup world, so just wanted to warn/prepare someone who’s thinking of buying this that:1.) It’s great, easy to apply, very dark and beautiful.2.) It *WILL* smudge/smear/give you half-moons above your eyes unless you apply eyeshadow orsetting powder over the eyeliner.3.) I have no regrets! 🙂

My go to eyeliner!
I absolutely love this eyeliner. It is nice and dark black and applies so easily! The application is smooth like butter and lasts pretty much all day. I have tried more expensive designer eyeliners, but this is by far my favorite. Gives my eyes instant pop and definition! Not to mention that the pencil itself is fat and easy to maneuver. The pencil lasts a very long time and I use it every day!

Exactly what I wanted.
Beautiful, rich black color. My only complaint is that, in my case, it tends to gather in the inner corners of my eyes over time, forming unpleasant looking gunk. I have to check and clean it occasionally.

There was nothing I didn’t like about eye pencil iv bought loads of eyeliner in the shops and they have always been I bet hard on my eyes this pencil is perfect it’s nice and soft and easy to use I will be ordering a few more and the bonus is the pencil sharpener aswell
