This hair tool travel bag is large and thick and is roomy enough to fit both my straightener and curling iron. I even have enough room left over to fit a few brushes, comb and accessories. The heat mat rolls out so that you can put hot tools on it to not damage your counters. There are pockets for more organization and the main pocket is a zipper so keeps everything in one place. This is heat resistant both inside and out so you are able to place hot tools in the bag for travel. I really love how I can fit so much and don’t have to worry about having my hair tools completely cool before I can place them in the bag for travel. This is very good quality and would make a great gift. I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend.

LOVE!!! Just What I’ve Been Searching For
I have been using the same travel case / heat proof mat that came with my high end hair tool ghd about 7 years ago. Time and travel and wear and tear have left it in a sad state of mini melted spots and general beat up condition. I was really shocked to find there weren’t many similar options out there. I wanted something that would be used for travel AND convert into a useable (read large enough to be useful and actually heat proof) mat. This is IT.This actually is better than the fancy pants case it’s replacing because it has storage inside. There are two compartments inside so you can travel with a flat iron and a curling iron. There are zipper compartments AND there are elastic bands to hold a short product bottle in place (heat proof oil or protective serum).Also the heat proof mat is the flap that goes over the travel case so it’s functional; well multi-functional. It acts as the heat proof mat and as the snap cover. It does what it’s supposed to – my flat iron and curling iron fully heated didn’t transfer heat below the mat so surfaces below the mat are protected.I love this. I have zero hesitation in recommending this. It’s awesome and will make travel easier. I highly, highly recommend it!

Was amazing for a week
After a week the zipper completely came off, not the track parts that come together but the piece that zips both the tracks together to close it if that makes sense but ya love the fabrics and the design of it but I have no idea what went wrong with the zipper

Much larger/longer than expected
Although dimensions are given in the the item description, the travel bag was larger than I expected it to be. That is not a bad thing but it does mean that it isn’t what I was hoping for. I have a bag that I was hoping to replace with this travel bag, but find it to be too long to fit in my carry-on no matter which angle I place it. Because of its length and triangular shape, it will have to be used in larger luggage pieces.Overall, the bag seems to be well-constructed and accommodates my flat iron or my CHI curler, but not both at the same time even though it is quite roomy. There are small pockets inside, but they did not actually “hold” the styling products in place. The pockets may be more useful for holding clips or very small containers. The attached heat mat is as expected.My concern lies with the durability of the inside lining of the case. I don’t know that the lining could handle the heat if you had to pack your styling tool immediately after using it. Would it melt the fabric? I didn’t try it to find out because I don’t want to ruin my tools, but I would exercise caution for sure.If you are looking for a case for only your hot tool, then this is for you. If you want a travel bag to accommodate tools and all your styling products, consider a different shaped bag and purchase a heat mat separately.
