This Stuff is Great!
I cannot believe this mascara, especially at this price. It looked great, didn’t clump, and lasted all day. But I don’t touch my eyes much during the day, so not sure if that makes a difference. And the color is awesome!!! It’s actually BROWN, not black pretending to be brown. It wiped off easily with a Water WipeWhen I first looked at the brush, I thought, ‘This is definitely going to involve some cursing.’ Much to my surprise, it lays out a nice lash from root to tip. Then if you hold it vertically/upright and brush the tip up through your lashes, it lengthens the look of the lashes even further (that’s usually true with most brush styles, so it was just a general makeup tip).The formula is on the drier side, but easy to work with. I don’t like wet mascara anyway…for me, drier formulas clump way less. And this mascara didn’t end up on everything eyelash adjacent, too, which is a bonus for those of us who are sometimes dexterity challenged.Anyway, suuuuuper happy about this mascara. And I haven’t been very happy with the last 20ish mascaras I’ve tried [Maybeline Falsies Lash Lift is very nice if you are in the market for a black mascara. Unfortunately it was much too dark for my ultra fair, red-head complexion.]

Natural look
If a dramatic lash is what you are looking for, this is not the one. My pictures show two coats at the end of the day ( after approximately 9-10 hours) and the mascara was intact. No smudges or flaking. The formula is on the drier side, so it keeps the curl fairly well. It arrived fast and perfectly sealed. I like it! I think I will buy again once I run out.

holy grail exists?!
just like everybody else with blonde stick straight lashes, I’ve spent many, many years looking for the mascara that could lengthen and darken and thicken and not clump.I first bought this in the brown because for the first time in my life I thought maybe I’ll try a brown mascara and it was incredible. then of course I bought it in black which it turns out is the only colour I want anyway. this is just amazing. I never dreamt a mascara like this could possibly exist.you just put a couple of strokes on and then go back and put on another couple more and then your lashes are lengthened and thickened and curled and beautiful and amazing and incredible and awesome and dreamy and splendid and sultry and stupendous…. I think I might have run out of adjectives.this isn’t like all other mascaras that dry crusty and uncomfortable …. when you’re at night watching Netflix with a dog with one lamp on putting on mascara (everybody does that right?) and you later on realise that you have much more punchy lashes on the left side than on the right. you can just go ahead and add more on even though it’s completely dry you can comb another coat on without worrying if you’re going to rip out your dried as$ eyelashes with this brush. it just goes on as if it was the first coat.AND THEN. AND THEN.when you forget about it cuz you shouldn’t really be putting on mascara in the middle of the night while you’re watching Netflix with the dog and you fall asleep with it. guess what?you wake up to perfect lashes.I’ve never seen anything like this one. this doesn’t even hold a candle to their beautiful lash princess. I’ve already bought three of them in case they decide to discontinue it before I’m done being enamoured.for the record, this is really quite similar to Maybelline sky high. but that one does give the aforementioned crusty lashes and that one for me is extremely difficult to wash off on like any other mascara I’ve ever tried. this one comes off like a dream.I have nothing but superlatives to say.

Great Except It Smudges
I feel like I get panda eyes (or raccoon eyes, whatever you want to call it) about 50 percent of the time when I use this mascara. So it’s definitely not long-wearing or long-lasting. …Maybe I’m somehow just more prone to that happening (oily skin?) or maybe it’s the Florida humidity (I’m certain it surely doesn’t help), but who knows. Also the wand is crazy flimsy (like, why?)- it’s next to useless. So I feel like I’m always having to go in with a spoolie or some other kind of tool to help me out when I’m trying to apply it. With allll that being said I do actually like the mascara itself. The color is lovely and it has a decent consistency/formula that I can work with. It looks pretty when I put it on. I love brown mascara because I like the natural ‘my lashes but better’ look (I swear black makes me look like an actual camel LOL) and it’s sooo hard to find a nice, true brown out there. However the downside is that I go and look in the mirror after I’ve been wearing it all day and surprise(!) it’s completely smudged itself and panda-eyed me. And I look stupid, not to mention. It doesn’t do it every time, so maybe more for like “light wear” such as if you’re sitting all day in a climate controlled environment then maybe there’s no reason to worry. But unfortunately far from a winner though imo.
