The package contains with three 3 smaller boxes with sealed masks inside. The mask is some kind of cloth material. It is soaked in serum and after 15minutes the mask is still moist. The serum made my skin glow and has a wet look to it. It has a neutral non fragrance smell. After removing the mask my face did feel a slight tingle but was not red.

A great pore cleansing!
I always enjoy trying Dr. Jart+ products. This Korean skin care company has been around for 20 years and they are a trusted brand to me. Dermask Porecting Solution Face Mask is formulated for oily skin mainly to purify pores. My skin is mature, but I still have an oilier T zone where pores can get congested. I found this sheet mask a bit overly goopy but that does make it easier to adhere to your face. It’s a good idea to do this over your sink so you don’t drip it onto your clothing. It took a while for me to feel the bubbling action. I wouldn’t say it sudsed a lot, but next time I will try massaging it more to generate more bubbles. I did feel slight tingling that was relaxing for the 15 minutes I kept it on. Quite a bit of product remained on my skin after. After 15 minutes, I gently blotted with a clean face towel. Because I used it at night, I was sure to hit the dryer areas of my face with a moisturizer afterwards. The next morning, my pores looked visibly smaller and purified.I really like the packaging of this kit. Five individually sealed masks are contained in a 5-pack. That pack is also safety sealed, so if you wished to gift a pack to someone, it is trustworthy looking! I like the idea of using this mask for myself periodically in winter when I wear more makeup that can congest pores. If I were younger, I would use this product weekly to control breakouts. I find this pack of 15 a good value because these are usually $10 per mask when sold individually. Recommend this mask for oily skin or for spot treating oily areas and enlarged pores.

There’s a lot of serum on these masks. The mask cloth is black, but the serum is clear. It’s not like those bubble clay masks that bloom on your face. Instead your face feels like little bubbles are fizzing on your face. I have dry, sensitive skin and I was worried my face would be irritated when I removed the mask after 15 minutes, but it wasn’t. The serum gets rubbed in after you remove the mask. I needed to apply a moisturizer before bed. Even after sleeping the face felt sticky from the serum. I’ve only used it once and I’m not a fan.

Gimmicky, irritating
I used these Dr.Jart+ Porecting Solution masks once a week for five weeks.I experienced redness and mild irritation from go. It wasn’t clear whether this was an intentional side effect of the chemical activation, or if my skin was genuinely unhappy. Over time I found myself needing to soothe irritation after each use. If you have acne or rosacea, I’d strongly advise against using these masks at all. I’m prone to mild rosacea and I would’ve stopped after the first mask if I weren’t testing them for review.My main problem with this treatment is that you’re encouraged to leave the serum on after removing the sheet. I just think that’s bad advice. The stuff literally fizzles and bubbles against your skin! There isn’t neutralizer solution included that would make me think it’s OK to leave on. Some of the inactive ingredients—like the bergamot and rose oils—are too sensitizing for prolonged exposure anyway. I think this mask should be treated like a chemical peel: rinse it off after use and follow up with a good moisturizer.Beyond the irritation and ill-advised instructions, I just didn’t see any benefits. There was no noticeable exfoliation nor improvement in pores. The buzzwords, “bubbling” and “charcoal,” sound intriguing, but don’t translate to meaningful skincare results. This is common in marketing, unfortunately. This product is not an exception.The cost is hard to justify at $74 for 15 masks. You could set yourself up with an effective skincare routine for that much. And you’d see the long-term benefits rather than a fleeting tingly sensation. These are a bougie novelty, not serious skincare.2 stars instead of 1 – because it IS fun. Try it, if you have it. The ritualistic aspect of pampering yourself is important in self care.
