Great for curls!
Awesome product! After washing my hair and combing it out, I turn my hair over and use 2-3 pumps from the bottle. The scrunch it evenly through my hair. Flip my hair back over and let it air dry. The curls come out soft and bouncy. And it smells good too!

A styling miracle for women with curly hair!
A friend introduced me to this product and I was a bit skeptical. I must say. When my hair went gray in my early 50s it also became curly. I always had a hard time finding a product to hold in the curl that didn’t feel stiff or crunchy. Along came DevaCurl! This product is so easy to use and does a beautiful job. After washing your hair, you leave your hair, wet and do not cow dry. You take a small amount of the product in your hands rub your hands together flip your head over and start scrunch your curls while you’re in the shower. Try to let your hair dry as much as possible if you can, or you can use a diffuser to dry your hair. I do a little of both – – I air dry for a while, then finish it up with the diffuser. The curls look beautiful and sleek, and your hair is so soft and touchable. It’s like there’s no product in your hair at all if you are not able to wash your hair the next day, just wet your hands , and scrunch your hair to get your curls to go back into place. It may seem like a miracle, and it is. From now on, I will never use anything else for my curly hair. Try it – – you will not regret it!

My go-to curl product
Here is a description of my hair which hopefully helps. (Heads up to other reviewers: if you describe the hair care product but don’t provide a description of your hair, it’s not very helpful to others reading the review. We want to get a sense of how it will work for our type of hair.)I am in my 50s. I have very soft & very fine, porous, curly hair. 2c-3a. Mix of tight waves and ringlets. I keep it about chin to bottom of neck length. 50% grey but I color it regularly (salon, single process). I usually air dry, occasionally dry upside down with a diffuser if I’m trying to get more volume. It tends to go flat on top and straighter without wetting it & applying curl product on a daily basis.I have tried a gazillion products over the years and this is always the one I come back to. My curly cut stylists keep telling me to use mousse but it doesn’t do anything for me. They tell me cream is “too heavy” for my hair—but this works great for me. Soft & springy curls. Little to no “cast” to break up. Sometimes I use a little gel too to get more definition. Scent: To me, it’s sweet/fruity. I don’t love or hate it. To me the smell fades pretty quickly. I actually prefer a more fresh/floral/herbal/clean scent rather than sweet & fruity, but this is fine.(For reference: I HATE all strong scents or anything musky, woody, or “oriental” (it’s a perfume scent description, word, not mine).

“Non-crunchy styler”?
My daughter is a stylist that recommended this product to replace another curly hair product called BB Curl.For most of my life I have not used styling gels. BB Curl was the first gel recommended to me about 10 years ago. I asked for a new product that might work better and DevaCurl was what I was told to try.The label on the bottle of DevaCurl describes itself as being a “non-crunchy styler”. What the hell does that mean? Can it be that some styling gels are actually crunchy, or is this a joke?Anyway, when this bottle of DevaCurl gets used up I am going back to BB Curl. It costs about the same and I like the way it makes my curly “Italian hair” look. Much better in fact.Sorry, DevaCurl your “Non-crunchy styler” just doesn’t do it for me.

I am in Love with the Deva Curl. I had bought over a dozen Curl creams that always left my hair hard and crunchy.I couldn’t ever get soft bouncy curls. Well with Deva Curl my hair is soft with bouncy curls. I will definitely reorder this again. I would recommend this .

I read that DevaCurl has a certified class action against them for harmful products. This product was not named in the action but it still made me weary and I tried to find another curl product. But, nothing seemed to work as good so despite the class action and because I’ve used this product in the past with no issues, I am using it again. That’s how much I like this particular product!
