More shine than color
The champagne color seems to add more shine than actual color. I was hoping to use it as more of a light base on my eyelids, but I noticed the shiny type does not stay on as long. I have been using CoverGirl for over 30 years. I will try another color, maybe matte.

This is not a matte shadow, like so many are these days. It has a great sheen to it. I use it as a base under all my other shadows, and then they blend beautifully. It is my favorite shadow and has been for many years. It comes with a great sponge applicator so the shadow doesn’t flake off when applied. The price has gone up a bit recently, but I will continue to buy it as long as Cover Girl never changes the formula.

If you want sparkle to your eyeshadow this would be fine. I wasn’t wanting that. I thought it was matte. That’s on me. Cover Girl is a trusted product line. One star off because it wasn’t what I wanted not because of delivery or quality of product. It arrived fully intact.

I ordered this as I was looking for a cheaper gray hair root cover up. I just brush it on my roots with a dense eyeshadow brush. This is a semi-sheer, natural looking brown that works perfectly for me roots. I also tried it as an eyeshadow and it’s easy to blend and buildable. Will definitely re-purchase.
