I ran.
Escaped the man who wanted to hurt me.
I got in my car and drove.
No destination. No direction. No help.
I hid in the one place I would never be found.
Now in New York with no job, I didn’t know what to do. Then I met him. Jaxson Price.
The enigmatic devil who wasn’t only above the law, but played it like a puppet.
He might be the answer to all my problems.
Too bad he’s asking for something in return for his help…. My heart.

Conceal. WOW… Imagine what think is but it’s not
Jaxson is the third child of Annabelle and her late husband. Grayson is the oldest child and Addison the middle child and the only girl. I read Entice already, so I know that Grayson took over after his father died and he thinks because Jaxson is the COO that he has to try and run his life. He forgets that Jaxson is not him and that is not where his interest lies. Jaxson is a world class hacker and he also knows how to read people. Willow is running from someone and we have no idea who it is until more than half way through the story. Willow drives her car as far as she can then boards a bus to Ohio and then she ends up in New York. Willow calls her friend Maggie hoping that she still has her same number she made her memorize. She still has the same number and so she ends up crashing at her place. She cannot tell Maggie or anyone what happened so she is disguised and has colored her hair and wears contact lenses that changes her eye color. She meets Jaxson Price on her way to fill in as a waitress because Maggie was really sick and she had a contract to cater alcohol and such to the men at this high stakes card game. She is traveling to the place she is supposed to work and is running low on gas. Jaxson happens to be there and drops his wallet and since she had run out of the apartment without cash and couldn’t use her credit cards she picked up the wallet looks inside he has a fifty dollar bill she takes and leaves his wallet where she found it, not knowing she was going to see him later at the card game. So their story starts from there. This is a story with a twist. You think you have It figured out and it switches. Good story line. It was entertaining, It had drama, so much drama and angst but I laughed and was sad. I loved this story ❤️ more I think than Entice. I have other books from Ava but I need to read Addison’s story. I highly recommend this book.

Mysterious slow burn
When the woman you’re falling for is concealing her true identity, how do you handle it? That’s the premise behind this intriguing and mysterious book. The story follows Willow, a woman on the run, and Jaxson, a wealthy playboy whose life is changed by a chance meeting with this captivating woman. They don’t know much about each other, but they do know that there’s a connection there, and for the first time in Jaxson’s life, he wants to dig deeper with a woman. What follows is Willow and Jaxson’s slow progression from strangers to friends to lovers. This book followed an interesting progression for me. It drew me in from the start with the solid writing and suspenseful feel. The reader doesn’t know exactly what’s going on in Willow’s life, but we do know that she’s found herself in trouble. I love a slow burn, but something about the extended period of mystery and friendship between Willow and Jaxson had me disconnecting from the story for a while. Ultimately, this is sort of the calm before the storm, but I will say that it dragged a bit in the middle. That being said, I loved the relationship and how well these two get to know each other. It’s a unique and interesting story that showcases Willow’s strength and Jaxson’s gentleness, which was really refreshing to read. Had the middle been a little stronger, this would’ve been an easy 5-star read, but it’s certainly a strong 4 stars. I received an ARC of this slow burn romance and am voluntarily leaving a review.

“You were never the damsel in distress. You didn’t need me to storm the castle. You picked up the sword and saved yourself.”
I absolutely loved this book! The characters in this book added a great support to the story. Ava definitely leaves us wondering who Cyrus is and what’s his story…maybe she’ll tell us!Willow meets Jax by pure coincidence and even though she felt guilt for her actions his presence still intrigued her. Jax on the other hand is curious as to what could have been going on in Willow’s life to have caused her to steal. Through a mutual interest they keep meeting up and even though Willow’s life is in danger she feels completely safe with Jax. Willow keeps her guard up extremely high, she knows she needs help but is very apprehensive about asking for it. Whoever she asks to help her will instantly be in danger so, how can she endanger anyone? Finally without any choices left Willow reaches out to Jax for help but is she too late? Has trouble already found her? This is a slow burn book and the story was absolutely delicious! I loved it, little on the drama and a guaranteed HEA, would definitely highly recommend this book.

Amazing!….4.5 Stars
Jaxson and Willow’s story is a mystery thriller, suspense and packed full of slow-build gaining of trust and love. She’s an heiress, a runaway from her home, afraid for her life and ends up in NYC crashing in her childhood friend’s apartment, hiding with disguises and colored hair. She ends up waitressing for her friend’s business serving wealthy people every Friday poker games. Jaxson notices her and that’s the start of their friendship. This was a good read. There’s a reason why she’s hunted and it makes the story intriguing.

Okay
This was okay. I was really looking forward to the drama that the first couple of chapters promised but the book never delivered. Jax is awesome! Perfect Hero. The h was smarter than she acted and I couldn’t understand why she didn’t do more to help herself. This is an okay book with good characters and good writing but it wasn’t great and left me wanting a lot more story than we got.

This book was well written and edited with a good storyline including romance, family, friends and survivors. Filled with intrigue and suspense, we see Willow on run, hiding and fighting to stay alive. We meet her wonderful friend Maggie and watch her love story with Jax Price unfold.I liked how we slowly get layers of the story peeled back including twists and turns right till the end. I did really enjoy it but found that it was a bit slow around the 60-80%mark when they were just slowly looking for info. It was fairly fast paced prior to that and again at the end so think the slow part just took a bit of momentum off. Left me wondering why They didn’t hire a PI to take a photo or I am sure Jax’s family would have had some contacts in law enforcement eg FBI that they knew ere trustworthy. Considering how powerful the Price family was and how rich, it seemed surprising none of their power or influence was used to help. Also what happened to her FBI tip. This story continues on with the Price family so make sure you read Addison’s story Deceit first then Grayson’s story Entice before this one.

Great characters, good plot and brilliant writing. The tension is really built up well, not just in the relationship but in the development of the story.

Bem escrito, com mínimas incoerências, sem ser dominado por cenas de sexo, que já se tornaram cansativas, a trama segurou-me e deixou-me pensando do enredo. Recomendo pel
