Not the product I’ve received in the past.
I’ve been using this product over the past year after growing my beard fully. The first can I bought had s smooth consistency and a pleasant smell.I liked how it blended into my beard, gave it a nice sheen, scent and control.I just used the last of my first can today and opened the can I ordered on Feb 22nd. It is nothing like the first can! This can has a much stronger smell and watery texture, with a grainy feel. As if it got overheated or, frozen at some point. I equate it to how ice cream that has thawed, and refrozen at some point feels. Gross!The BS part of this is, the return window closed on March 24th. I just had not opened it yet! This is total BS.At this point Beard Guyz has successfully lost a client and what would have been a glowing endorsement.I am going to contact them directly at the 800 number provided on the can. An update will follow.

Best Beard balm

The smell.
The hold and the texture it provides for my beard is amazing. The one thing I cannot get past is the smell. It’s not a bad smell but it is a very powerful waxy smell. It almost takes my breath away. Because of this I cannot use this product by itself and always have to use it with something else in order to dampen the smell. It’s a very strong beeswax smell.Works exactly the way I would like. If the smell was improved in some way I would be a forever fan. However, due to the smell, once I am done using this I will never get it again.

My husband loves it!
My husband has a pretty good sized beard (almost to his nipples) and he says he can really tell if he doesn’t use it after he takes a shower cause the softness is just not there. He is very picky when it comes to what he puts in his beard and we have this as one of our subscriptions. Lightweight when he puts it in and distributes easily.

Bad product, lack of consistency.
Ever since I’ve started using beard balm I have bought from these guys. The funny thing is, everytime the product is different. It smells different, it varies in terms of thickness and hold ,however never to the point to where it is an issue. Mind you this is the same box that I re-order. It works fine and keeps my beard in place. This last batch smelled so bad and felt like glue on my fingers. I tossed it out and it made me reconsider the brand as a whole. Personally, I will never buy from them again. I’ll go to Burt’s bees or another maker of beard balm. It wasn’t even worth returning for the money either. Be cautious purchasing from them. You do not want to put things that aren’t thought through on your body or face. I’ve purchased from Amazon for 12 years now. I have never written a review let alone a bad one. There was such a lack of care with this last batch that I felt responsible for letting people who are on the fence of purchasing from here know my experience. Be wary.

I use this balm every day to every other day. I used to have very itchy skin, especially in the winter, and this has helped so much! Not significant tool for shaping my beard but it does offer some hold and tames the odd stray hair.

I didn’t like this product at all. Apart from the nice shine it gave, it did nothing for my beard ! after about an hour or so my beard would itch worse than not putting in any beard palm or oil at all. And when I would just gentle stroke or brush my beard, hair would fall out so easily! It was leaving my hair dry and brittle and hairs would fall out from the slightest touch. Not a good product on African American beards! Could be different for other races/ethnicities
