To each his/her own, but I do like this pomade alot. My hair has a tendency to be dry and coarse, but with this pomade not only helps me gain some control, but it give my hair a non-greasy natural shine – no stiffness, nice soft touch. It sets well and lasts all day into the next. Also, it depends on the person, but I really like the orangy smell. It’s pleasant and clean. That being said, it’s not going to empty my wallet using it either. I super picky about my pomade and I’ve tried many. I hope that this doesn’t get discontinued. It’s my pomade of choice from now on.

Great curl shine pomade
The Got2Be pomade has a great scent, is perfect for curly hair to prevent frizz when finishing hair when dry. It is not a heavy paste, but a smooth, light gel-like salve that gives curls definition and shy without making hair feel stiff. My curly-haired family loves it and I buy it 4 cannisters at a time. It is a fab product.

Good hold, funny smell
Let me preface this review by saying I’m just an average guy – not some stylist or hair care professional or Jersey Shore wannabe. I keep my hair short, styled kinda spiky and chunky.This product is listed as a pomade, but I don’t think that’s entirely accurate. Most pomades I’ve used have been creamy or oily, and this is neither. It gives great shine and hold, but still washes out easily – unlike some other products I’ve used, like the ones from Axe. It’s a shimmery translucent orange in the container, but obviously doesn’t leave any tint in your hair once applied. Use it sparingly; you’d be amazed at how much hold you get out of a little bit of product! It initially has a light, almost citrus-like scent – but it doesn’t last, which brings me to the title of this review…It lingers with a slightly waxy, chemical smell to it. It’s not really unpleasant, it’s just very artificial and not pleasing like other products’ scents such as J Crew. I don’t wear much cologne, but I think heavy use of this pomade would still overpower it for the first few hours. This is another good reason to apply sparingly!As for its actual performance, as I said, it holds very well right off the bat. Being easily water-soluble is a nice touch, but it means that it won’t do so well when applied to wet hair. I also notice the hold fades throughout the course of a day – probably as it warms up to body temperature – so I “freeze” my look with hairspray once I get the style I want. It doesn’t take much, but your style will fall if you don’t add something to reinforce it. The net result is shiny, styled hair that is still pliable and holds well; no worries about “breaking” your style just by touching it. Wonderful for thick, curly hair!
My hair is thick, curly and can be very frizzy. I use Chi leave-in conditioner spray, then my mousse, and let my hair air-dry for awhile to kind of ‘set’ the curls, then finish it with the blow dryer. After that, I use got2b playful creme pomade, rub it onto my hands, and rub them down the length of my hair. It disappears into my hair, leaving it more moist-looking, but not wet, completely takes the frizz off, defines the curls, and then holds them in place without feeling sticky or stiff. It’s my ‘miracle’ find for my hair! When I don’t have it, I have bad hair days. When I use it, I get TONS of compliments.Seems to work better if you just run your hands down your hair, grabbing the curls and kind of pulling down on them as you go, so you’re sort of defining them, not digging your hands into your hair messing it up.I think you’ll love it. I hope to never have to do without it!

Excellent light hold that doesn’t leave a buildup on hair. Holds thru an entire day. Great for shorter hair. Highly recommend even though a bit pricey.

I love this paste for my hair, I have short hair and I need something a little heavy to style and I love this stuff, it’s light and not heavy and styles the way I want and I love the fragrance. I wish Walmart would still carry it but thank god for Amazon!
