Unexpected Representation of Translucent; But It Worked Better!
My LONG-time favorite product was discontinued. I chose to try this product for my very fair/cool, mature, combo-skin. I was worried, and expected failure, when I saw it was a warmer color than I am accustom. WELL…It disappeared beautifully upon application. I use a light hand with my creamy concealer, powder eyeshadows, and powder blush; no foundation. I use a the tips of a large soft fluffy brush, with a light hand just to blur all the edges. Odd revelation… I used my previous translucent powder to “highlight” my brow and cheek bones; which now makes me realize how this “darker” version of translucent is a much more neutral choice. Who knew?

Best settings powder
I love this product, I always had issues with setting under my eyes, I am newer to the whole make up journey so I assumed it was that I didn’t know how to use these products, but I have tried so many types of setting powders and they always ended up being so drying. Causing my foundation or concealer to look so dry and crease everytime I smiled or laughed, so I never knew if it was my concealer or powder causing the issue. I found this product on a whim by searching “hydrating setting powders” here and this popped up so I gave it a shot and come to find out my make up no longer creases and I look smooth, flawless, and hydrated all day without looking cakey or creasey, def gonna repurchase this item!!

average setting powder
If you’re finding this powder to be dry, the hyaluronic acid is probably the culprit. Hyaluronic acid needs another source of moisture to retain moisture. The hyaluronic acid itself doesn’t provide any. It basically draws moisture out and holds it. If you don’t provide that extra moisture, it can pull it from your skin, causing dryness. Anyway, this works best when I use a ton of setting spray or hydrating facial mist after I set my foundation with this powder. Otherwise I find it drying. It’s a little bit of a gimmick.
