Smooth application, matte finish, long lasting. Perfection.
Best liquid eyeliner I’ve ever used. Been using it happily for years. It is great because it goes on super smooth so you can get sharp lines and it dries totally matte rather then the shiny, almost plastic-y appearance of other liquid liners. I find it to be very long lasting as well, I can get a minimum of 12 hour wear out of it before it begins to dull. That being said, ever when it begins to dull, it had literally NEVER smudged. But it also comes of easily. It’s basically the perfect liner. Highly recommended!

Purchased 15 Times!
Amazon just told me that I have now purchased this eyeliner 15 times! I have been using it for 5 years now, and looooove it. The matte finish is amazing and it comes off easily with some water. I will usually put it on in the morning before work, and it still looks great when I wash my face before bed. I live in Texas, so it is hot and humid, but the Schwing liner withstands it all!The only con, as many of the reviews have mentioned, is that it is not at all waterproof. If you have naturally watery eyes or if you tend to rub your eyes throughout the day, this is not the product for you.That being said, this product really is “The Balm” haha.

Great product
Best eyeliner I have found so far.This eyeliner is easy to use for fine lines and wings. I have tried many other brands and I think this is the best bang for your buck. It coats nice and dark so you don’t have to reapply it and the applicator tip keeps its shape making it easy to control.It will smudge if you rub your eyes but I found a little translucent powder over it prevents this unless you are really trying to smudge it.

Great pigment but disappointing in many other ways.
I really, really wanted to love this eyeliner. I have been using liquid eyeliner for at least 10 years, and it’s taken me a long time to “perfect” the winged/cat-eye look. I heard so many good things about Schwing that I decided to try it out. Revlon’s liquid eyeliner was my go-to for many years until I upgraded to Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner, which has been my current favorite since switching away from drugstore brands. I really have no complaints about Kat Von D’s product but wanted to try something new once my tube ran out. Schwing has several pros but mostly cons for me, personally. I’ll start with the good qualities: The liner dries VERY black. There’s no gray or streaky aspects to it. It’s black, black, black, which is definitely what you want in a good liquid liner! The brush is VERY thin, so you can get into the inner corners of your eyes and create a nice flick on the outer corners easily as long as you work slowly and carefully. The packaging is also very cute. OK, now for the cons… the length of the package is almost entirely taken up by the applicator wand, so that automatically decreases the value of the product in my book. The brush is also very, very delicate and flimsy, so it’s difficult to control the application of liner unless you are extremely careful. It has taken me twice as long to apply this product compared to liners with a felt-tip brush for this reason. The liner also smudges very easily, which I was not expecting considering it dries quickly and is a super pigmented black. One accidental rub of the eye, and you’ve got a huge gray, bruise-like smudge across your eye. The liner is also difficult to take off with even a high-quality makeup remover because it smudges so much. Basically, using this liner has doubled both my makeup application and removal time, which has been a bit of a pain. As I said, I really, really wanted to love this product. It is good for creating very crisp, sharp and detailed lines, but for an everyday cat-eye look I found it to be quite a hassle. I’ll stick with Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner until I find something better.

My favorite liquid liner
I used my fiance’s account to order this since he has Prime, I am very pleased with it. I’ve been using different types of liquid eyeliners for several years (over 10 now lol) and this is definitely one of my favorites if not my favorites. It’s very matte black, drying quickly is not an issue to me because I’ve had a lot of practice, and I don’t have to wait on it to dry before curling my lashes. It doesn’t stick to my eyelash curler and I have very oily skin, and it doesn’t stick to my eyelids or rub off like others have mentioned. It stays on all through work and then some! Will definitely be repurchasing when this runs out. Also find it very easy to use with the fine felt tip, you can either make a thin line or build it for a thicker winged look.

Great Eyeliner to Have it Your Kit
This is my first time using any of theBalm products and I must say, this is a great eyeliner. If you are looking for an eyeliner that has/does the following:• Easy to apply (the tip makes creating a winged liner a breeze as you can easily go soft or build it to be more dramatic cat eye)• Goes on really black• Dries matte• Looks great on whether you have on eyeshadow, lashes or no lashesTHIS IS TRULY A WINNER IN THESE CATEGORIES BUT….The reason why I haven’t given it five stars is because, it does smudge. I bought & wore this eyeliner to see how great it is based on the reviews and while it is a great product, I was surprised to find some smudging. I don’t have oily eye lids so I am not sure what the cause of it is. I have tried a few other great eyeliners which are non-waterproof too and didn’t smudge. I will still give it another shot as it is a great eyeliner but this is just a key thing to be aware of.

J’utilise ce liner depuis des années et malgré le prix assez élevé je ne peux pas m’en passer. J’ai appris à faire mes traits de liner avec. La précision est top, la tenue aussi (ce n’est pas waterproof ne pas s’attendre à des miracles). Je mets de l’eyeliner tous les jours et il me tient bien plusieurs mois (3 ou 4). J’ai essayé les liner feutres et pinceaux et celui-là est le juste milieu entre le feutre facile à appliquer et la précision du pinceau.

Ordered this on reading great reviews and it did not disappoint. I like how slim the brush is, unlike some liquid liners. This way I can sometimes go for lighter lines and a minimalistic look. Quality of the liner is good too, with a nice matt finish. It stayed on pretty well for several hours.

Questo a mio parere è il migliore eye-liner in commercio. Ne ho provati tanti ma The Balm li batte tutti. Facile da applicare, si asciuga subito evitando sbavature fastidiose e dura tutto il giorno. Io lo uso dalla mattina alla sera. Bellissimo l’effetto sull’occhio. Lo consiglio anche a chi come me ha più di 50 anni.
