    Soft with a Shine
Really good for my skin. Especially when we had a hard winter. It creamy and leaves your skin soft. It smells really good, too. It’s not oily and leaves your skin shining. Helps with extra dry skin too. Highly recommended 👍🏽

    Best moisturizer ever!
Please never change. This is the holy grail of moisturizers. I’ve been using this for years and I have the best skin. I couldn’t find this product anywhere recently and I tried similar brands and I’ve been breaking out. I’m finally back to this after months and it feels like my skin took a drink of water for the first time in a while. Literally liquid gold. I can’t recommend more. Especially if you live in a dry desert state like I do.

Product is great but it came dented
I used to use the Queen Helene cocoa butter lotion In the huge bottle back in highschool (about 16 years ago now) . As I’ve aged and had children my skin has started to change and dry out more. I needed something VERY thick . Someone suggested the butter form and I ordered this smaller jar to try. You can’t beat $4 ! Well it arrived and the container is dented in so badly on one side that now I cannot even stand it upright. Not sure if it was shipped like that or it happened in transit to me but I’m disappointed. The product is fine and I can still use it but now I know not to order the small jar next time.I will say – this cocoa butter is THICK! Very moisturizing and has a nice light scent. I will repurchase in the future.

    Let the Healing Begin
I recently had a horrible health scare that lead to over a month of hospitalization (just over two weeks in the I.C.U.) and one of the aspects of my malady was terrifically painful cellulitis on my lower legs. The worst of it was an 8″ by 10″ patch on my left calf which, before treatment, felt like a motorcycle tailpipe burn which often throbbed to feeling like actually being burned. After being released I went through six weeks of the weeping wound being redressed by a home health care nurse before finally scabbing over. Much of the pain was gone, but I still had surges for the past two weeks.I was using aloe vera gel with anesthetic to help the healing process, and it certainly helped quite a bit, but daily pain, irritation, and itchiness was the norm. Finally I was able to replenish my finances, so I decided to seek out cocoa butter to help the skin heal. Amazon has quite a selection ranging from solid blocks to moisturizing lotion, but the Queen Helene cocoa butter looked like it might be the right consistency (semi-solid), and the price was right, so I placed my order and got the jar two days later. When I first applied the cocoa butter relief was quick and almost miraculous. The itchiness was relieved instantly, quite a bit faster than hydrocortisone cream, and the irritation and pain were gone within five minutes. For the first time in over six months I was pain-free! After applying it three times in a day the wound improved to the point of what would have taken at least a week. My only regret is that I didn’t find this awesome stuff sooner. The cocoa butter is pretty much non-greasy, has a mild, pleasant scent (not my cup of tea but really could only be improved by being scent-free), and absorbs very quickly. The jar is larger than I anticipated, and it only takes a small amount to do its job. The moisturizing effects are above and beyond any lotion I have ever encountered.Queen Helene’s cocoa butter is at the top of its class and the price is a steal. I would highly recommend this to anyone for a multitude of uses.

    Very moisturizing.
I get EXTREMELY dry skin on my nose that will crack, flake, and peel. I asked my dermatologist about it once and she had no idea what it would be from or a good solution for it. I have tried all kinds of moisturizers (even samples of supposedly great things from the dermatologist), and tried applying multiple times a day, but none of the products I tried worked very well. This feels a little greasy when I first dip into it and apply it on my face, similar to the consistency of Vaseline except a little less jelly-like, but it does not make me break out like Vaseline does! It smells pretty decent too, unlike some of the cold creams I’ve tried. I like to put this on before bed so the thick moisture can soak into my face all night, but it goes on too greasy looking to put on in the morning before putting on makeup or going out for the day. This works great as a night cream for me, but I could see how it might be a little much for someone who doesn’t have ridiculously dry skin.

whipped consistency as opposed to an actual butter which makes it easy to apply
Disclaimer: Everyone’s skin interacts differently to products, this is just my experience. This is probably an ok option for anyone looking for an economical body lotion/cream. For the price, you get a lot of product. It has more of a creamy, whipped consistency as opposed to an actual butter which makes it easy to apply. It does the job of moisturizing and nourishing dry skin very well but it has drawbacks. The main ingredient is mineral oil, which does work for some people but for me this means that the product sits on my skin FOREVER and never completely absorbs. It leaves me feeling greasy hours after applying and the oil gets onto a lot of things (clothes, sheets, phone screen, keyboard, etc.). If you have acne prone skin I would not put this onto your face. I used this on my lips and it kept them very hydrated and soft but I did get small breakouts at the corners of my mouth where the product touched my face. My other main gripe is the scent. I do not like it, others might, I find it too strong and long-lasting. It doesn’t necessarily smell bad, but it smells somewhat artificial which after a while becomes very unpleasant. I decided to only use this product before bed because of the scent.All-in-all, the product does work, it keeps your skin soft and smooth, but I probably won’t buy it again. If you’re short on funds and need something to keep your skin hydrated this will work but if the have the bucks there are better options. After I run out of this I’ll probably try out a raw coco or shea butter and compare.*btw, coco butter, even pure coco butter (which this product is not) will not remove stretch marks.

I’ve been using the bottle form for years now and love the scent and texture of it. However, I noticed Amazon doesn’t carry the bottle anymore and this is my first time getting this one in this container. I noticed it’s definitely thicker, the scent isn’t the same as it is in the bottle but it seems to be richer in cocoa butter that’s why the texture is thicker. It feels more natural!
