Exactly What I Wanted
I had one of these hair washer/scalp scrubbers many years ago when I was a young man. It was made of cheap hard plastic. It did the job though and I used it everytime I washed my hair. These “brushes” (not really a brush, more of a scrubber) do a great job of cleaning my hair as well as exfoliating my scalp. This was when they were made as a one piece unit with firm plastic bristles that were a bit rough on the scalp. This took some getting used to. I used it until the plastic ring I put my finger through to hold it broke off. After that it was worthless and unusable and it went in the trash. Since then (at least 25 years ago) I’ve just used my fingers to wash my hair and my finger nails to scrub my scalp. The other day while showering and washing my hair (there ain’t nearly as much of it as there used to be) I thought there has to be better way of doing this. Then I remembered that old cheap plastic scrubber and later I checked out what was available on Amazon. They have a bunch of these things, all different makes and models at all different prices. They had some just like my old one but I wanted an upgrade. I must have looked at 20 different models and read some reviews of each. Then I settled on this one. Since I don’t have thick hair anymore I wanted one more for the scalp conditioning than for the hair washing. This one is way better than the cheap one I used all those years ago. The bristles or tines are made of a more flexable, softer material but are stiff enough to get the job done without being too rough on the ole noggin. It does a great job of both washing my hair and scrubbing my scalp. Afterwards my head feels wonderful. All cool and tingling. I had forgotten that feeling. I think it might be possible to catch a little buzz just from washing your hair. Who would’ve thunk it?Unless you have long and very thick hair this brush should work as well for you as it works for me. The handle is far superior to the little plastic finger ring of my old one. It slips between my middle and ring finger for a sure grip even with a wet soapy hand. It fits my hand like it was made just for me. Really, it couldn’t fit me better. One of the reviews I read about this brush complained about difficulty cleaning it. I don’t think they realized this is a two piece unit. The softer flexable bristle brush part just pops out of the hard clear plastic handle then the shampoo and water can easily be rinsed out. Then simply pop the bristle part back into the handle and it’s good to go. And the price is right. Some of these cost way more than they should for what you get. The cheaply made one piece plastic brush is still available and only one buck cheaper than this one. Bite the bullet and cough up another dollar for the upgrade. You will be glad you did. I know I am.

Worth every penny.
My order included free shipping. The shipping fee was probably factored into the price of the brush. ($8.00 at this time). HOWEVER, it is well worth it. First, mine came via Royal Air from Wembley in the U.K. It arrived in 9 days (quicker than some US shipments), and most importantly…it is a quality brush. As stated, it arrived in 9 days in a ‘bubble envelope’. The color chosen for me was a soft lime green. Not neon, not jarring. I really like the color. The brush inside was in an individually sealed bag. Very ‘clean’. Pristine. Not dusty, dirty or crumbly as if it came off a shelf in a dirty warehouse where it had been sitting for 5 years. The brush itself measures approx. 3 1/2 inches long by 3 inches wide. The clear rubber ‘bristles’ measure approx. 3/4 of an inch from the base. Overall from the bottom of the bristles to the top of the plastic ‘handle’, it’s about 3 inches tall.It is made from thick hard plastic, and to be honest I really think if you drop it handle side down on a marble shower floor it might crack. But it’s not a cheap plastic, just hard. The bristles are super soft silicone. Not so soft they won’t go through my hair. I have medium thick fine hair. Shoulder length. The bristles go through it just fine. The bristles ‘bend’ quite easily and the tips are rounded so there’s no scratching your scalp. I don’t understand AT ALL one reviewer saying these bristles are stiff. They are as soft as a clear silicone baby pacifier.Interestingly, the middle section of bristles have a fatter base and the tips of these middle bristles are concave. Like someone took a razor and cut a little “V” indentation on the top of each bristle. However, even the tips of these little “V’s” are soft. Not hard points. The outer ring of bristles are the ‘normal’ rounded tips. There are 2 small holes in the silicon base so that if water gets behind the base you simply squish the base down and the water will squirt out of one hole. No mold. I’ve read where one reviewer removes the silicon brush part from the plastic base to empty. I haven’t done that. I just squish it while shaking it a bit. There is less than probably a drop remaining inside. And that dries quickly.I like the ‘handle’ attached to the top. It is super comfortable to slide it between your slippery shampoo/creme rinse fingers so that you can hold onto the brush. It slides all the way back into the base between your fingers and the ‘knob’ on top is flatted out to about the size of a half dollar, so there’s no fighting to keep it between your fingers. That flattened top knob sits on top of your two fingers. Doesn’t move. Smooth and polished. There is also a ‘hole’ in the base of the handle so that you can run a ‘cord’ through it and hang the brush if you choose to. (I use one of those suction cups with a hook)Tip: I’ve found that I need to use 1/2 the shampoo I normally would. After initially working the shampoo through my hair, as I continue to use the brush it makes a ton of lather/bubbles. (Maybe it’s just the shampoo I use, but it lathers up tremendously with the brush). This may not be the brush you want to use if you want to “detangle” your hair in the bath. Oh, it will detangle it with a little effort, unless your hair is a total rats nest, but it’s not like those hard round plastic brushes. The ones that have bristles like the plastic teeth in a comb. I’ve had and used those for years. After I put in creme rinse. I used them mainly as a detangler. And while I was careful and happy enough with them, I am supremely happy with this brush.Overall a GREAT brush, worth every penny. Highly recommend. But remember, it’s a MASSAGE BRUSH, NOT A DETANGLER!UPDATE: August 2013 – Brush still going strong, still looks like new. I have noticed that this brush is now sold by another company I bought mine from and is now an “add on” item where you have to purchase $25.00 in order to get the free shipping. Bummer. My shipping was free. That definitely made it worth the $9.90 I paid. I may think twice about HAVING to spend 25.00 to get it much as I LOVE this shampoo brush. Perhaps going directly to the Kent website directly or to “TGS’ website, it can be had for a better price. I DO know that Kent.com offers Apple Green and Orange for $6.13, as of today. The other 2 colors are more. However, I don’t know how much the shipping charge is. Glad I got mine when I did.

Works well and feels good on the scalp
Sturdy, pleasant to look at. Easy to use and easy to clean. The nylon bristles have split tips, which increases the brushing area.Update: It fell in the tub and broke. I ordered another, but it came in blue. You have no choice of color.

Great Shampoo — Gentle Refreshing Scalp Stimulation — Comfortable Grip — Flexible Nubs built to last !!!
I’ve used many, many different shampoo brushes thoroughly clean my hair and stimulate the scalp. Until trying the Kent – SH1, none did a very effective job, irritated the skin rather than refresh it, and virtually all had plastic nubs falling out like fall leaves after just a few weeks… rendering the brush both useless and a major disappointment. The Kent – SH21 is a more than welcome change. It does a fantastic job of working in shampoo, provides excellent yet gentle skin stimulation without irritation from sharp molded edges, the 2-finger-grip palm handle design fits firmly and comfortably in my hand without slipping and, best of all, the plastic nubs remain soft & flexible & remain firmly attached to the flexible underside of the shampoo brush after many uses. Thanks Kent !!!

Great Brush, BUT!
This is a great way to shampoo, BUT! Because it is not stocked by Amazon.com, you pay an exhorbitant delivery fee. Unless Amazin.com starts stocking this item, I will in the future try to find it locally. My home is in a metropolitan area of over one million people, but I could not find it here. The good people at Kent are doing a poor job of marketing a great product.

Scalp health
High quality scalp massager/stimulator. Necessary for a healthy scalp. Might help with hair loss. Of course, nothing can help if you have male pattern baldness;other than expensive hair transplants. Use with a good shampoo such as Neutrogena T/SAL or T/GEL. It will help with dandruff and pimples. Kent makes the very best hair brushes in the world.

Whatever –
This absolutely overpriced for what it is, the product should not cost more than Rs 50 but is inflated due to the branding and being imported. Also, the design is absolutely pathetic as the handle made of hard plastic and the part made of soft plastic that has the little stubs gets separated all to easily, and water gets in between as well, so its hardly waterproof. That said, this is extremely useful both for massaging hair after applying oil or in the shower while shampooing. Its pretty effective, yet gentle and does not damage hair nor does hair snag on it easily (at least with a guy’s shorter hair). This is my third purchase and I keep buying despite the poor value as I haven’t found anything quite like it to substitute.

I’m not going to lie, I bought this after seeing it on numerous TikTok videos and I thought ‘why not?’Well, I’m really glad I did.Using this brush has made my hair feel softer and cleaner. I use it to comb the shampoo through to the ends of my hair. The bristles are thick and strong enough for me to feel them on my scalp. My hair doesn’t tangle, and I can feel that the shampoo is evenly spread. It’s much quicker than massaging it in with my hands, too. I use it to brush conditioner through the ends of my hair too. It’s a great little brush – I’d recommend you give it a try.
