Terrific Smell – Supporting Small Business – Packaging Leads to Powder/Mess
This was our first foray into a shower steamer, so by no means should we be considered experts in this department.That being said we were eager to try this experience which was well timed with myself having a minor cold with congestion. Both of us rate our most favorite household scents as Citrus which made this a great candidate to try.The packaging experience was interesting. Once I opened the amazon bubb-lope, there was a plum of powder that escaped and it nearly knocked me to my knees. It is not the intent to breath this product dry (or the powder of it) but again, I was unaware that the crumbling product would come plumeing out of the bag. So my initial thought was that the product was super strong and intense. I needed to toss all the packaging and repackage since the powder was everywhere. That said, all the briquettes were intact, they were not damaged but had sloughed off enough powder to make a mess.Again, our first foray here, the initial use was a learning curve for sure. I took a quick pass of our shower wand over the briquette (placed out of the showerhead stream) and it immediately began to foam heavily. The smell was somewhat strong at first but somewhat quickly faded with our exhaust fan on. This became a one-time-use…user error. The next attempt was to simply place the dry square in the same spot but allow steam and random drops to slowly interact, and this was better in performance and longevity. From our perspective however, it is fairly hard to control the intensity, it all seems to come down to chance.All in all, I really appreciate supporting a fellow midwest small business. Our personal review would be that this type of product probably isn’t for us unless we find a better way to control the output/intensity. That said, the ingredients seem great and the smell is terrific (when you get the intensity right) for a citrus product. So: not for us, but probably right for those familiar with shower steamers.

I ordered these Bare Botanics Shower Steamers Aromatherapy (Lemon Orange) – Achieve Spa at Home with Aromatherapy Tablets for Stress Relief & Relaxation – Made in USA with Natural Ingredients & Essential Oils for my family; we’ve found that citrus scented steamers help us wake up and get going in the early morning.My teenage son is training to sing opera and classical music; he’s in the middle of an incredibly intense junior year at LaGuardia, NYC’s “fame” school, where he carries a full double load of academic and studio classes, including APs. This year is a marathon for him, and every little thing he can do to make his voice and energy last is important. He discovered when he had pneumonia last year that steam helps to relax his voice; ever since, he’s been using shower steamers. He likes the citrus type vest, so I was pleased to find a whole box of lemon orange steamers; the other brands we’ve used have been a mixed assortment.These steamers come in a box of eight; each steamer is approximately 1 3/4” square. The citrus scented steamers help is quite strong, but really lovely; in the shower, the warm steam smells incredible. The bright citrus scent is excellent in too early mornings, helping you wake up quickly.The steamers should be placed just outside the water stream; used this way, they dissolve more slowly. Sometimes you can stretch one for more than one shower; just place the steamer on the wall of the tub or the countertop to dry and reuse.This is my first experience with the Bare Botanics brand; I like how the steamers are made entirely from natural, non toxic materials. The steamers arrived in a plain white cardboard box; be careful opening, as some dust from the steamers may have accumulated during travel. The seller included a thank you note, a nice touch.My son really loves the scent of these steamers; my husband and I do, too. My son’s already asked if we can get more; it’s on my to do list. He’s got two months and change to go this junior year; every little thing that helps. His mornings start at 4 a.m.; the early morning hours are when he works on his composing, since his schoolwork eats the rest of his time all day and evening. He loves the citrus scent in his shower; says he feels fresh to start the day afterwards.These steamers could make a nice Easter basket gift or stocking stuffer; they’d be great in a home spa day gift basket.

Lemon Orange Shower Steamers
First I’ll say I did also get the Lavender Tea Tree shower steamers and I could not do those at all. The smell was way too strong and I have a chronic cough and when I get around strong emitting scents, it starts a coughing fit that can last up to 15 minutes or longer so couldn’t use those ones.These shower steamers don’t have quite as strong a scent as the others which is actually nice. The shower steamers in this box did come broken up (which I was going to do and use smaller pieces so I didn’t start coughing) and used one of the smaller pieces in the shower. Even after getting wet (and they start to fizz and disperse right away) the scent was still there, although more subtle than when dry, and didn’t make me cough. The smaller piece I used lasted through my shower and I don’t take too long of a shower (not sure how long a whole cube would last?)Overall, not bad. Because these are a little on the delicate side, not sure if they would make a good gift since they are easy to break (I think it comes with the territory of a shower steamer – I’ve bought others that are equally delicate)

Smells amazing! So Lush!!!!!
I love these steamers. Some of the steamers were a little banged up, and there was some powder in the box, but they still work great. Be aware the way the packaging is, they rattle around a bit.The scent is AMAZING. I spend a lot of money at the big bath bomb store in the mall, and this scent is stronger and also on par with those natural fragrances. I left one of the steamers out on my counter in a soap dish just so it could fragrance my room.The steamers work as described and are very relaxing. I can’t say enough about these. I wil be back to buy more when these run out, and I think they make a great gift (esp for those without a bath). 10/10 my new favorite “me time” treat!
