Goes on oily. Razor glides well. I shave in the shower, so it washes off easy enough with water. Some shaving creams are oily, but use too much water to remove. Also, almost no scent, which is a plus. Will repurchase when running on empty.

Best shaving cream I’ve used in 5 years, but can cause minor skin irritation
This shaving cream has given me the closest & smoothest shave I’ve had in a long time (at least 5 years), & I’ve tried at least 6-7 different brands of shaving cream in these last ~5 years. My face feels as smooth as a newborn baby’s cheeks after shaving with this cream. However, the only flaw of this product that I’ve observed is that it can cause a slight skin irritation (a mild burning sensation) if I don’t wash my face off immediately after a shave. That said, there has not been any facial appearance changes (e.g. skin rashes, redness) due to the aforementioned irritation, & as long as I wash my face or shower right away, I can easily avoid any irritation.Bottom line – I’m still highly satisfied with the purchase, I think I finally found a shaving cream that gives me the best looking & most comfortable shave, & I’ll likely make this my default shaving cream.

You owe it to yourself to give Marlowe a try.
Like so many other men who have written on this shave product, I don’t often write reviews. But each time I use the Marlowe, I think, man, I gotta tell somebody about this stuff. I too, have been shaving for a LONG time. And recently I have grown a mustache/goatee in order to minimize how often I have to shave. But I just got tire of looking at the old man face in the mirror. I broke down and ordered some of the ever present online razors (I think you may know who I mean…their name begins with an H) and they included a free trial of their shower soap and shave foam. Junk. The razors are good, but I needed a gel or a cream. My dad used to shave with Gillette Brushless, and I have been fond of those types, because gel or foam just didn’t give my sensitive skin the protection I needed. Marlowe 141 does. It can be re-worked back across a shaved area, and you can shave closer. You just need to work it into a thick lather. Rub it in real good and keep working it up into your skin. It protects, goes a long way, and leaves your skin feeling clean and not soapy. My friend, I would like to know why you don’t want to try this. You owe it to yourself.

Daily head and face shaver here – this is the best
I’m in my mid twenties and I’ve been shaving my head for two years now. I figure if I’m gonna shave my head, I may as well do it every day and make it look good, right? Well when you spend an hour or two a week shaving you start looking to make the best out of the experience. And so my quest began! To find the best products to give me a quick, painless, and smooth shave. As far as razors go, I recommend the Defender Razor program (it’s the same as Dollar Shave Club, except each blade on the head can pivot, and more space is left between each blade so that hair doesn’t get clogged and need rinsing nearly as often. It’s pretty great honestly). And as far as shaving creams and butter go, you guessed it, this has become my go-to. A little goes a long way, and the best thing I’ve found is to buy a couple silicon facial scrubbers, apply some cream to the scrubber, and really massage it in for a minute or two. Doing so has made shaving a breeze and SUBSTANTIALLY decreased ingrown hairs and irritation on my neck.

I wasted half of my life without this . Wish i could have this earlier. This is magic. My worn out razor works likenew. No pizza face. The blade just glides. No words to express. I m blessed now.
