This skin elixir by 47 Skin contains chitosan, which comes from the exoskeleton of shellfish like crabs, shrimps and lobster. At the time of my review this is not mentioned anywhere on the product description, which is not only potentially dangerous for those with a shellfish allergy but is also unsuitable for vegans. Personally, if I had known this before ordering I would not choose this productPutting that aside, the skin elixir came nicely presented in minimalist packaging, inside a dark amber coloured glass stopper bottle. The liquid consistency is similar to that of facial serums, and is designed to be used after your toner, before your serum and moisturiser to help lock the moisture in and hydrate the skinI’m unable to comment on the scent as I have a cold at the moment! It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky. It contains niacinamide, a form of vitamin B-3, which helps rebuild cells and treat acne and inflammation. I have very spot prone sensitive skin, and so far this elixir hasn’t caused any breakouts or rashesOverall, it’s very high quality but also very expensive, but you only need a couple of drops so it will last a while. I do hope they update the product description soon, as there isn’t even an ingredients list at the moment which is hugely important for people to be aware of, especially allergy sufferers

So it’s definitely a unique elixir to try!🌟 Having used this for some time now both morning and night I’ve definitely found improvement in my skin. I no longer suffer with spots but I have been left with blemishes and scarring from previous spots. I’m absolutely positive this elixir has reduced the pigmentation to the point I’m not having to use as much concealer now. My face feels brighter, rejuvenated even. It’s brought more hydration to my skin and it has my skin glowing when I use it underneath moisturiser and foundation in the morning when I get ready. I’m really happy with it.
