Good stuff, though clearly…
…water soluble, which is odd for higher end shave products.~ I’ve used pretty much every shave product, procedure and type of equipment over the years and now that I’m sporting the full Yule Brenner effect it’s even more important to have everything just right… this is what I’ve learned:~ Rinsing your razor; no more than three blades and the hottest water possible, is vital because decent shave products will clog your blades after one stroke.Pro Tip – boil a quart or so of water in your kettle then fill a tall mug or measuring cup for razor rinsing; hot enough to clear the razor + empty into toilet once discolored 😋.~ Small spray bottle of water to spritz the areas to be shaved keeps the process slippery for skin safety.~ Done right, you need one single pass Only! to remove face whiskers – head fuzziness is another matter. Additional razor passes risk razor burn, which is best treated by gently patting on clear aloe vera gel.~ Rinse Rinse Rinse – with this and most every other product to prepare for aloe vera aftercare.I like this shave gel BUT the absolute best product ever used is Shave Secret which is a combination of essential oils and requires only a tiny amount but frequent moistening from the aforementioned little bottle.Cheers from Texas,Billy 🏴☠️💚🏳️🌈🇺🇦🖖✌️

A little goes a long way
This is a repeat purchase. I really like the DSC shave butter. A little goes a long way. I have a relatively thick beard and this does a nice job cutting through it.

Better than shaving cream
This is better than Shaving cream. Moisturizes your face afterwards. you can actually see the hair you are shaving.

Butter Not My Thing
Quality of the product is fine, but I’m not a fan of the texture. I guess it is the “butter” designation. It has a bit of a waxy consistency and tends to go on in blobs that need further spreading and massaging. It also clogs the razor and doesn’t rinse out easily, even with super hot water, so I wind up flinging hairy blobs of butter all over the sink during the shave. So, more of a clean up chore than I’ve had with other products. I have many, many years experience using a shaving “cream” from a tube that I was super happy with, but the manufacturer stopped making it. Guess I’ll try another “cream” product and hope for a better fit with my shaving wish list!

Best transparent shave gel I’ve tried
Hands down the best transparent shave gel (butter) for precise beard edging! I tried a few other brands including “Brew” which was so thick and goopy that it was hurting my wrist to squeeze it out of the bottle. Dollar Shave Club Shave Butter is very easy to apply, you use just a dime-sized amount on your hand, and it stores well in my medicine cabinet.
Just your average –
Smooth and easy with no issues after!
This stuff works great for me! Smooth shave with no skin issues after.
