    Love this mascara!
No smudging, nice brush for lash separation and extension. Good for contact wearers.

    Natural and Stays On
I’ve tried other natural brands at Whole Foods….this one makes my lashes look better and doesn’t flake off like the others.

too wet, too gloppy, almost unuseable
Here’s all the bad things about this mascara:The brush is way too big. No matter how careful I am, it gets mascara on my eyelids and everywhere. At first it was more like smearing mascara all over my eye areas and my eyelashes just happen to be in the way. I got better at using it and now let’s just say, I pretend that it’s mascara and eyeliner in one! It’s scented. No makeup should have added scent, especially for use near the eyes. It’s irritating. and gross. It’s too wet to be useful. It just gets everywhere. It takes forever to dry. You can’t really add more layers if you want it thicker until it’s a little drier, because it’s more like rearranging mud than adding anything. It doesn’t wash off with soap and water. One reason I usually gravitate to “natural” mascaras (though i have no idea how “natural” this actually is) is because they are easy to wash off without subjecting my face and sensitive eyes to even more weird chemicals. I’ve stained a few towels and pillowcases thinking I washed it off and there was yet more.Despite that, tears seem to be this mascara’s kryptonite. Face it, crying happens sometimes. And it’s the one time this mascara melts away effortlessly. Haven’t tested swimming yet. Sweat does not smear it if it has had time to dry all the way first.Another reason I try to buy “natural” mascaras is so that it doesn’t dry into those stiff, hard, brittle chunks that break my eyelashes off. This mascara does dry like that though, it doesn’t care. It hates you and your eyelashes and wants to do you no favors. It doesn’t appear to do anything by way of thickening or lengthening my eyelashes. There was no visible improvement.——Here’s what I guess I can say are positive aspects of this mascara:Some “natural” brands are TOO much a part of a natural look, aka, you can’t tell you’ve even put mascara on. This mascara is at least visible. So I guess it does perform the one basic function expected of mascara.A lot of my mascaras seem to get too dry to use quicker than I think they should (I think it’s the arid climate I live in.) Since this mascara is unmanageably wet, it kind of has a head start and doesn’t seem to be drying out at all. Not even to a level that would make it ok to use.

Love the Mascara, Hate the Wand.
Okay, so with all the stuff about PFAs and the cosmetic industry lately, I figured it was time to switch to more natural leaning brands.I bought this one and so far, I really like the formula. It doesn’t flake and it doesn’t smudge. Considering my super “awesome”, super oily skin, that’s a rarity. Like, the US would probably have invaded my face instead of the Middle East back during the George W days. So, I wasn’t expecting that to happen. At all. It doesn’t happen with the waterproof mascaras that are currently in the news, so I didn’t really know what to expect from anything else. It’s so fabulous though!!! 2 coats and I’m good to go!Not fabulous, the wand. But I have super hooded, incredibly deep set almond eyes, so that isn’t an issue that is exclusive to this brand or this particular product. It happens with a few kinds of mascara wands. Unfortunately, this wand just gets mascara all over everything while I’m trying to get it on my lashes. I look like a raccoon by the time I’m done.Luckily it scrapes off skin when it’s dry, but it’s still pretty annoying. I’ve taken to using my previous mascara wand (a spiky silicone wand I’ve cleaned and sanitized) and using that instead of the actual one. It works pretty alright and I’m getting the mascara on my lashes instead of my eyelids.Overall, I’ll probably buy again, but at this point I don’t know if it’s because my options are limited, or because I really like the formula.

Salicylate and Chemical Intolerant Friendly! LOVE IT!!!
I recently discovered I am severely intolerant of salicylates, and went through the process of finding replacements for ALL of my personal care / beauty products. I searched a long, long time to find this gem! Through beauty sites and EWG to find ingredients, then the Salicylate Search Engine to search sals levels of the ingredients. I don’t recall if this is 100% Sals free, but it’s low enough for me to tolerate, and I was having severe reactions to everything when I first tried this lovely mascara. I highly recommend to those with sals and chemical sensitivities, who aren’t ready to give up make-up entirely yet! :DHowever, it is not even remotely water proof, so if you cry while wearing it, it will run. 😀

There are better products for under $10
I am always on the search for a great mascara that is free from known toxins. I try to buy only products that are scored well by the Environmental Working Group (ewg.org/skindeep). I started using Mineral Fusion make-up about ten months ago after loving their nail polish, which is also a safer alternative to traditional polish. I ended up loving all of the product except the mascara. The first tube was decent as far as “safer” mascaras go. The color was nice, it didn’t smell weird, it did its job ok, it felt fine on, and (a top priority for me) it didn’t smear like some others have, or leave dark circles under my eyes. The second tube I purchased was ok at first, but soon became thick, which made the bristles on the wand mat together beyond repair. It was pretty much worthless at that point, and did a terrible job, leaving my lashes clumped together. I decided, after sticking with it for a few more months, to switch back to another mascara I’d liked before trying this one that actually has a better rating by ewg.org, a much better wand, can be found at any drug store, and is under $10 (Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara).

Been using this mascara for years. When you first open the package, it takes multiple layers to build volume… after a few uses, you’ll notice the mascara thickens and you don’t have to apply as many coats.Gives nice volume and length to my lashes!

I love the idea of this mascara, but I found it to be clumpy, messy, flaky, with black specks constantly falling onto my face, so I stopped using it and felt ripped off. I had used natural mascaras before, and maybe I received a bad batch, but I kept giving it a try and continually was disappointed. I really tried! 🙁

Difficile à appliquer, les cils collent tous ensemble je préfère encore mon mascara de pharmacie à 10$.. le résultat est un peu meilleur lorsqu’il est appliqué par dessus un autre mascara.

I would not recommend this mascara as I find there is a very strong scent which makes me question how natural this mascara really is. I’ve only worn it twice so far and twice it has caused irritation to my eyes and very itchy. Also I do not find the application is nice as the mascara causes clumps to the lashes.
